Snapchat approached myself and team to create video bumper ads to promote their new custom filter tool, targeted at small and medium businesses owners. We produced choreographed scenes that showcased the ease of the tool and how a custom filter can attract new customers. The resulting work drove a high ROI and product tool awareness among the demo.
B2B but Make it B2C
Each of three scenes features a different tier of biz owner. A small biz hot dog cart owner, a medium biz shoe boutique, and an enterprise arcade chain.

Built with the DNA of Fun
The art direction is bright, energetic, and summery with strong California feels, lending to the brands Santa Monica roots. The goal was to recreate a Hollywood backlot feel, with large printed backgrounds and a moving platform to swipe in our hero's friends.
Cast Real Friends
It was important to cast a group of friends that felt natural together. As it turned out, we ended up casting some who were actual friends. It was also important to cast dancers for these videos—those who would have balance and high energy on a moving stage.
Dressed to Contrast
The wardrobe unifies the trio of friends in monochrome, allowing them to pop forward as one harmonious visual element—avoiding clutter. Wardrobe palettes lend themselves to the main background color in the succeeding scene.
